My name is Diana Lopez. I am 14 years old and almost turning 15 on June 28. I was diagnosed with leukemia in March 2017. I had many side affects throughout my treatment but I got through them with the help of my parents that were always there supporting me. On July 2019 I was finally cancer free. I was so happy and excited because I was going to have a normal life again. I started going to school, I was getting good grades, and I was making new friends. But on October of 2019 I had a relapse and the doctors said the leukemia had returned. I felt sad and like I had to start all over again. The doctors also said I would need a bone marrow transplant. They tested my siblings to check if they were compatible with me. Luckily my 7 year old sister Keylen was 100% compatible with me and she was my donor. On February of this year I got my bone marrow transplant and I was very happy. On June 9 it’s going to be day 100 after transplant and I am so excited. I am excited to live a normal life again little by little.
